Minus 21 points on the YM....I'm starting to suck...2 trades..... went short, went long, lost them both.
This, "hey you have a profit go ahead  and try some futures trades", just is not working.  You toasted a lot of good profits.....and the depression returns.  Coulda, woulda, shoulda.....been a good day.
While I'm staring at my screens trying to decide how to do it the right way, it occured to me that trading the futures is just too expensive for my small account.  Rarley do I hold one trade that can move that much money in such a short time, you know, unless the stock blew up.  I think I'll have to say goodbye to futures trading once again.

An attorney from the SEC (Rinell Randolph) contacted me to say it's not their fault it's FINR (NASD) fault, and I should talk to them instead.  So I filed a pettition with the SEC to repeal the patteren day trader rule 2520.   Now I'm one of about 136,000 who have asked for this rule to be repealed.  And I thought I was special....ah well...

Other stuff:  The garage is grey with speckles....those cookies almost made me lazy enough not to finsih it though.  That and everything went wrong.  I thought "just slap up some paint" .....I was wrong.  I had some kind of textured paint and it just got sucked up into the wall.  I thought it was because I should have primed the drywall first, so back to the store buy some primer and prime all the walls....watch the primer dry (cookie time) and paint again.  Still the paint roller dripping in paint would only last one stroke before I had to reload it with paint.  So back to the store and buy some normal paint.  The normal paint is on the two side walls and the textured stuff is just on the one wall.  It only took all day, and lots of cookies, but the garage got painted.
So much spare time on my hands.....ya....didn't workout after the close today

 GUESS MY STOP GAME!  I was on the short side of this one, HINT, it really wasn't my stop, but when half my profits ran away I had to get out.....and of course....I was just scared out of my short.

12 YM points today.  First trade I was long and lost 20 points, 2nd trade I went short and made the winning trade...a couple of times I should have bailed early when I was back to break even.  But I held on to the trade...not the best idea...but it worked out for me.

I think I'll paint my garge this weekend, a grey with some kind of speckles.  I got a paint chip, and it's payday..so I can buy the paint....I got a good chance of putting the paint on the walls...just as long as some pizza or cookies don't get in the way it should happen.     The neighbors are gonna be asking "Damn with all that paint peeling of his house why is he painting the garage?" 

Oh ya.....as always....there will be no prizes on the guess my stop game.  Wow, what were you thinking?

A copy of the complaint to the Securities and Exchange commission I sent this morning to complain about their insane Pattern Day Trader rule.  One copy went to Mary Schapiro   (Chairman)  and one copy to their general on filing a complaint about bad securities practices.
It is terrible to have a profit and be restricted from doing the wise and prudent move of taking your profits.  I listed Mary Schapiro as the person or frim I had a complaint against.
It's all in a  day's losses, cause the government won't let you have a day's profits.

August 10th 2010 I purchased shares in the following companies:  ALTR, SVR, TIE, VRX, FMS, SWKS,MCRS.  I had a profit in all of these purchases.....but the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission rules would not allow me to sell these securities at a profit.  It would make me a pattern day trader, and since I do not have the  required 25,000 in capital, it would have frozen my account to take my profits on this day..SO IF I SOLD AT A PROFIT MY ACCOUNT WOULD HAVE BEEN FROZEN BY THE S.E.C. RULES.
Today, August 11th 2010  the market opened down 200 points, now all of those stocks I could not sell yesterday are down 9 times the profit I had yesterday.
This pattern day trader rule is absolutely absurd.  It does nothing to help investors.  The market moves wildly, where 200 point Dow moves are the norm.  Yet your rule continues to hinder investors from taking a profit or worse, forcing us to hold a losing stock until the next day.
This pattern day trader rule causes more small investors more losses than you can even imagine.  Where else could you be told "you can not sell your investments the same day you bought them, no matter the gain or loss... give us more capital or you can not invest any more for the next 90 days.

Please re-evaluate this "Pattern Day Trader Rule"  it is a terrible thing!

With the hard drive crash I lost all my charts, my security cameras, and a few things from a payroll sign sheet....oh ya,.....I lost my paintbars too.

Since I had to rebuild these......If any one out there is using Paintbars in Quote Tracker....here are the codes I wrote to get those green and red arrows to show up on my charts with a  Slow Stoch crossover.             

         If it all goes well for you....you should get these arrows showing up on your charts...I added a voice alert to get my attention when it posts an arrow.  I only have one chart with the voice alert (the YM futures chart....all the other charts run off a clone of the code above with no voice alert...they just post the arrow).

Been working on the trading computer all day.....the hard drive came overnight......and now I'm tying up the loose ends.   Got around a hundred charts I have to rebuild.  Still have one screen that is playing in it's own little world...it moves when the mouse goes over it....and I still need to get back the cameras for the remote viewing.
That screen thing...it's happend before, I just can't remember what setting I need to change.

Anyways....I wonder the later it gets, the more worse I mess up my catching up work?

I also noticed I have followers.....wow.....I never even checked this before....but IBSHOW left a note and when I scrolled that far down on my page.......There it was.....people following my blog....wow.....I'm thrilled.

Thanks to  a YM(short) trade for 11 points I ended up green today.  I kept wanting to add some stocks and every time I grabbed the key board I remembered the labor numbers come out tomorrow.  So I pushed the key board  back and didn't add any thing today.
After a little of a remote connection by Falcon Trading Systems, it turns out my hard drive is dying.  I did not even know my computer was still under warranty until I tried to buy a new system from them.  They sent me an email and said call up our tech dept when I asked them for a discount for a new computer (they also said they would give me 5% off the purchase price :-) ).  So, next week I get my new hard drive.
Hoping this computer stays together for payroll next week, or my little laptop is going to get freaked out by the work load I'm going to throw on it.  I kinda miss that work owned computer that lived here....it had to go to a store and be a cash register.

And somewhere along here I need to get back into the trading routine.  Right now markets red....WHR is green

Didn't even get to watch my accounts today.  I had a security system at a store that needed to be done.  Without even a chance to know anything about the markets today, I had planned on not having any large holdings into this day, and thankfully minus two dollars does not really hurt my account today.  It is not green, though, and that doesn't set too well with me.

shorted the futures and lost, all morning I wanted to short it.  I walked away to keep me from shorting it, but I came back, other people were saying time to short....The Rockstar star says short it at what....how do you know we are at the highs....come on people the market is going up...go with it.

Anyways after losing 11 points on my  short I went long the futures and made 19 points...happy to be out of the red.
