Went into profit protection mode this morning.  Anything with over a dollar per share profit was split into a trailing stop and a hard stop.
NTAP, UTL, VRX, HXL, also put F on the list, while not a dollar in F yet, I hold 5 times as many shares in F.
RCI has earnings tomorrow, have a 10 cent stop, should sell it today.

Made it back with 20 minutes to go to close.
MCD....should have taken my profit today....could have still had a dollar profit today.  They missed earnings by a penny and I had a chance to get out with a profit and didn't take it.  That was pretty dumb of me.  Seems like a  no brainer in hindsight.   I still feel MCD is gonna rebound for me...but I could have taken a profit and still bought it back lower for the rebound....if only I was better at this.
Week 3 didn't kill me like I was worried about....but, since I always seem to worry...only 1 week to go...maybe it's protect the profit mode....or should I just risk the profits and trade the futures?

Now today was a lucky day.  I left my post early without putting any stops  on.  I left my whole portfolio to hang out in the wind .  What a stupid move, and I'm pissed about it.  .. I ended up not getting back until the market was closed.
I left at up 250 and came back up 240

I should be happy I got away with not paying attention to my portfolio.  Amazon shares plunging in after hours...maybe the morning will open up down and I didn't get away with leaving my portfolio out to dry.

Up 240   beat my daily goal    things are good right now     it's always right now in the markets   cause things are different 5 minutes from now...things are different 5 seconds from now!

Other stuff:  but not really...I tried to take a picture of the mess of my desk (I guess to boast about how far behind I am on getting things done) but every time I went over the pictures to check for security violations, I kept finding pieces of paper that could not be allowed to be copied showing up in the picture.  After the third picture, I gave up on posting a picture of the mess of my desk, I figured it was some kind of message for me not to post a picture.  But now here I am again with my arms just covered in paperwork, lucky I can find the key board, thinking hey Bob you should take a picture of this.  Anyways quarterly reports are due and I'm behind.....gotta go....things to see, places to go, people to do....later

In the morning I was down over a hundred dollars and things just looked bad.  But things turned around.

The VRX that I held on to for bigger gains...only turned into a bigger loss.  What was the lesson here?...oh ya....you had almost 2 bucks a share and you didn't take the money.
The rest of the other stocks are about the same...some green showed up...but I did not take any profits today.  Who would have thought that the biggest problem one could have was not taking profits....wasn't me...but look at me now....

Other stuff:  I have a fire place here...behind the couch...I could move the couch for this cold rainy night...ya still no answer for that concert invite...still lonely here...and there...

What to do, what to do?   When the high is almost a dollar more than the close.  It always makes me wonder if I made the right move.  It is back to the same old thing....letting your winners run.  At the same time I'm holding losers for months because I failed to cash in on a profit.  Because of my small share sizes, I view an almost 2 dollar a share profit as not much, while the professionals are taking their money, booking the Lear Jet to the island and enjoying. 
It's another day in the win column.....I can be happy.
It is that dreaded 3rd week where normally I toast my profits for the month.  It is a sad time...hope I don't  screw things up....let the good times roll.

Today could have (coulda, shoulda, woulda) been so much better....

CVLT blew it's earnings and cost me over 5 dollars a share..  I canceled it's stop order because it would have took me out at the lows.  It had a little bit of a rebound.  I'm worried it is just going to crash again (what usually happens).  With out this piece of bad news I would have(ahhh the dream sequence again) beaten my daily goal.  But a plus 12 dollars even with this huge loss today...I'm feeling kinda lucky.

Other Stuff:  Finished one of the things on my list.  It's always great to get to cross something off.  I have another list.  On the other list was get a bigger memory card for my camera.  It arrived yesterday, that picture above is it's first picture, now I can take a 25 minute video.  In the past the longest video I could have was just over 3 minutes.  I will start trying to add videos to my trading vlog, and training videos to my business vlog (the video there now I rescued from a 20 year old vcr tape).  And you never know maybe I'll make a vlog about me.
Oh ya...I broke 39 inches a couple of days ago....and got below 200 pounds...this exercise, eat right stuff is starting to show some results.
