Lost my platforms many times.....I have a lot of stocks on those things, finally found the files hiding deep in the chips of my computer(thankfully)
I had a stop loss of 55 cents on SNP...it fired off at 24 cents....I sent Interactive Brokers a message and they restored my trade, so the sell did not happen....ya!!!   I ended up getting another 36 cents on the trade (from where the bad trade went off).

Other stuff:  If I lose 1 more inch on my waist...it's party time.....I'm gonna buy a bunch of candy bars, and make some home made frosting, and just cover those candy bars with the frosting.

Got stopped out of half my BRK.B  Hated to see it but, I kept telling myself I can always buy it back.
The guess my stop game?  I was too late writing this to get the chart.

Day trader Rockstar pulled out of TM with a 150 profit while my account had a 4 dollar profit.  IT SUCKS NOT BEING ABLE TO BUY SIZE!  All the pros are out with 50 cents, making big money, while that same 50 cents just covered my brokers fees.  It is tough trading with a small account!!!!

green,  Today I added TM, BBY.   I've pretty much got my own mutual fund going again.  I'm holding a lot of stuff, a lot.
Trying to make sure my entries are at the right place.

When I looked at CELG 's chart it looks like I should pretty much have sold it.  I really hope I don't have to sit it out  going back down to 56!

And this is the chart of trying to find a stock ready to go up, ya, that's my story and I'm sticking with it.

Down about 130 today.  It's like some unknown force trying to make sure I don't post a profit for Feb.
Had  a bad YM trade today, as usual I did not take my profit, and let it turn into a loss.  Now I can no longer trade the futures again.

The coffee took a long time, again I had a dollar twice and never took it.  I would say if I get a dollar from now on==I'm out.  But I'm holding 3 or 4 dollars in BRK.B  The difference between taking a profit and watching it turn around to a loser is what keeps me here in the I'm broke land.

Trying to work on the same theory here.  Making sure I grab a profit instead of letting it turn into a loser.  Using trails and what not==if I knew I'd tell ya.

Down 75 dollars, sucks!  It was the fault of a bad futures trade.  I had a profit, with my finger on the mouse, and I let it slip away.  Then I was mad about letting my profit turn red that I revenge traded into another bad trade.  Could've been a good day, should've,  and maybe would've, If I just would have put in that stop to protect my profit instead of let it slip away.

Added DPL, it will probably be a day trade.  Yes it was.
The half my daily goal thing is kind of nice. (the store remodel drained my account)  Another part about this..I'm really lucky not one broker closed my accounts.  2 of them had my balances fall far below what is required.  But when I talked to both of them, they both said, "that was an opening balance required, you don't need to maintain that balance level to continue trading". 

I really thought today would have been a big down day, interest rates raised, the futures last night were about 70 points down.  I was kinda prepared for a big down day, but that didn't happen.  

Today my trading platform shut down just on the buy side.  Right when I tried to put in my buy stop on my futures short.  Panic filled me.  But luckily  about 45 seconds later I noticed my other screen had been putting up all the buys I tried to do.  One window tracks the Gorilla Trades, one tracks my picks and the futures, and one tracks the both combined.  A good reason for all the screen real estate.  When I finally looked on the other screen there were 4 or 5  buy orders waiting for me...I had just repeatedly clicked buy trying to put in my order...the other screen allowed the trade.
I have back up computers running, back up internet running, battery back ups, the extra trade platforms were just to keep things separate, I never thought one window would malfunction.  My back up broker does not have the multiple trade platform options, but I'm not trading futures on that account, so it would only be less than a minute to fix a bad trade platform, and on a stock that is not too terrible.

So.... yes, even with the panic I still got out of my YM trade with a profit.
And the guess my stop game....the low of day....what else could it be?  As always....there will be no prizes for a correct answer. (what were you thinking anyway?)

Green, and I didn't think I would make it to green today, what with the ORLY buy into earnings.  Yes, that sucker crashed on me big time.  All the lessons learned (don't buy, hold during earnings) cost a lot of money to learn.
Today I added PTRY, on the Rock Star's pick.
I day traded the YM for 6 points ( I left about 40 points on the table), so good job of picking the trend.  I just have this over whelming--keep my profit--that keeps me from letting things run.

Had to handle a bad driver this morning and missed hours of the markets....what happened?

I started him out to take small winners early on, and when he had won a few, I upped his profit target to 8 points.

Other stuff:  Delivery truck backed into the store today.  Smashed up my outside sign.  Left a note, left the mess on the sidewalk, left hanging large sharp hanging shards to fall on the less fortunate.  But everyone's ok.

It's A Green Day!  With yesterday's profits, I finally had enough cash to trade a futures contract.  So I did.

A winning trade....oh yea!!!!
Most of the morning I cussed out MB Trading for shutting down all accounts, draining all our cash and then telling us to just sit and wait.  While we watched our portfolios helplessly.  They were actually yelling at customers who were mad on their help chat line.  And then when it's finally my turn...he asks how can I help you...are you kidding me!!!!!
You have millions of people saying where is my money and you act like you don't know why I'm here.  MB Trading toasted the whole morning, and then went on to toast the afternoon also.  My back up broker could soon be some one else!!!!
Out TM  last of my shares from the IRA account.
Bought the wrong stock today and it cost me 20 dollars to not look before I hit the button.
Bought ORLY and forgot to notice they had earnings after close...another mistake...probably brought on from the MB mess.  A long time ago I wrote how one of my brokers is not listed on the side.....Now you know who and why they don't get a link on the side.

Down about 20 or 30 dollars.  Boo!  My GMCR short worked, but I got greedy and wanted more than a dollar.  So, I'm still holding it right now with a small loss.  A lot of times it seems I let something green turn red because I thought the profit was not big enough.  When BRK.B  dropped 2 dollars in about a half hour was another one, thankfully it came back.

I added GMCR as a short today-it's a hard stock to trade, but it has been months since I've touched this coffee bean and thought I might be smarter now.  Gonna find out soon.

Stopped out...PCG,UNFI  both for losses.  With my new found freed up cash from these two stop outs, I tried to place a futures trade.  But, even though it said I had enough net liquid on it's real time balance sheets, when I placed the trade it told me I was 60 dollars short.  Good thing cause that trade would have been a loser.  I'll try again tomorrow.
TM is driving me nuts, I have a dollar and so want it to go up more so I can put a stop in, 50 cents is nothing to TM though, but it's  a lot to me.

Thinking about letting Robot go live with real money, for the first hour or two.  With today's gain I might have just enough cash to be able to buy one futures contact on the YM.  But instead of writing this, I need to go through his records to see how his win percentage is in that first hour or two.

yep, it sucks.  Sometimes I think if MSFT stopped out, I would have enough cash for one futures contract.  Not being able to trade really sucks.  Hoping for a position to hit my stop so I can trade is just stupid.  And my other view is sell all my holdings so I won't be stuck in any thing.  Just having futures trades during the day sounds sane, but I just need more money to trade.  It just seems like they are slowly dwindling down to my stops while just dragging on the agony.

That's amazing. Not sure how it happened.  For most of the day I was resigned to have another lousy day.  yea for the up days.
Added GS today @151.92.  And I'm really surprised I was not stopped out of anything.  But MSFT was only 7 cents away, NETC only 11 cents away.  TM had a nice turn around-I'm hoping it can rebound a lot more.

It was a bloodbath.  I beat my daily goal on the losing side.  It has been months since that has happened.

Out DLB, put in an 85 cent trail from it's highs.  Earnings turned out to be really good.  Thanks.
Today made me consider dumping all my holdings and being all cash.  Tomorrows jobs numbers will make me wish I had.  Hit the sell all button, it'll make things all better.

It sounds worse than it is.  He had a plus 290, and could have just stopped trading after just two hours.  But the more trades, the more info.  Getting time to try and figure out why he did 4 losing trades in a row is worth all the cussing.  And, actually on two of those trades, I could say "what are you doing?" and be right.  A little bit side kick (psychic) I guess.

Other stuff:  I ventured out into the world today to visit a sick ice machine.  And people were unusually nice to me.  Really, the lady from the hair shop started carrying bags of ice from my car for me, people politely said no finish what you are doing I can wait for my drink.  It was really a strange adventure today.

I added TM, had to try and catch the  falling knife.  It went down a dollar more and I still hold it.  Hoping for the bounce tomorrow.
Also added G, I was following a trend on that one.

Sold my BRK.B and bought it back again.  It's  a sentimental stock for me.  I almost always had a graph of BRK.B up when it was 2 to 3 thousand dollars.  Added GS, had a 1 dollar profit and didn't take it, now I'm down and gotta hope it goes up tomorrow.  Was almost stopped out of my MSFT, when I look at that chart, that giant waterfall right after I bought it, I just had to put in a stop to stop the pain.
